Another Cut Job

Mar 28th - Extrication drill was cancelled due to rain so members just had to settle for the real thing. The "Big House" was alerted at 1929 hours to the 1900 block of Philadelphia Ave for an auto accident. Squad 41 and E45 arrived to find an SUV vs a passenger car. DC 47 found 4 patients with 1 entrapment. Chief 46 took Command and requested 2 additional ambulances, an additional medic unit and 2 helicopters (neither would fly due to heavy rain). Squad 41 removed 3 doors to free the driver. Extrication time, 12 minutes. EMS units transported 3 class 1 patients and 1 class 2 patient. Station 4 cleared at 2037 hours.
