Auto Accident in the Boro with Entrapment

 

September 30th - At 1126 hours SQ41 was alerted to 666 Philadelphia Ave. for an auto accident with entrapment.  Crews arrived on the scene to find a passenger car off the roadway with the driver confined. SQ41 "popped" the driver's door and assisted EMS with patient extrication.

 


No Sleep At The "Big House"

 

September 28th - Crews were kept busy responding to six runs after midnight.

Second Alarm House Fire With Entrapment

 

September 24th - At 0913 hours the "Big House" received a wakeup call. With Truck 17 OOS, T42 responded on the second alarm at 210 Park Circle in the borough of Waynesboro. Co. 2 units were on the scene reporting a working fire. T42 level 1 staged and sent manpower to the scene. The crew was sent to the attic for overhaul and removed part of a wall, roof, and overhang. Units cleared at 1136 hours.

 

     


First In at Second Due Fire

 

September 12th - Box 18 - 4 was dispatched at 0117 hours for the shed fire at 4992 LWW. AC49 reported a 15' x 30' shed fully involved and took Command until a Co 18 officer arrived. E43 laid a supply line and took the first due position. The "Big House" quickly knocked the fire down and began overhaul. E45 staged and sent manpower to the scene. Units cleared at 0233 hours.

Chambersburg Waste Paper

 

2 Alarm Structure Fire

 

September 2nd - The "Big House" responded for the structure fire at 2047 Loop Rd on Friday at 1854 hours. Units found heavy fire in a paper recycling plant upon arrival. C46 requested a second alarm and later several special alarms were requested by the Water Supply Officer. Crews battled a fast-moving fire that would eventually consume the entire structure and several exposures. Apparatus from 2 states and several counties assisted. Units cleared the original alarm at 0256 hours but have returned several times.
