These young men and women spoke with Chief Officers from Georgia, Minnesota, Washington DC as well as local Officers. They visited numerous county fire stations, the Pa State Fire Academy and the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg. They were exposed to a wide range of training including hose, SCBA, vehicle extrication and fire behavior. The most important thing they learned was safety including "Everyone Goes Home". After a week of 90* temps, sleeping on army cots in a gym and riding on a bus with no A/C, they held their graduation ceremony. Station 4 wishes to congratulate our two attendees, Matt Bigler and Jordan Linhart, along with the 28 other cadets that completed this academy.
