“The A-Team”
Station 4 has a long and proud tradition of having the station staffed 24/7 by a crew of “Live-In” members. These
members come from all walks of life and include dispatchers, college
students, trade
workers, and career firefighters. To become a Live-In member, there are
a number of requirements and duties that are expected of every
member of the Live-In crew, regardless of age or seniority. Because of
the Live-Ins status and the amount of calls run, the crew is usually
called upon in any number of circumstances to take the lead in training,
fire scenes, and on station.
Live-In Requirements:
- Must be accepted for membership with the Franklin Fire Company and must have the recommendation of the
Fire Chief and a Trustee.
- Must remain a member of the Franklin Fire Company in good standing.
- Must obtain training equivalent to Interior Firefighter status within
a reasonable amount of time of moving in.
- Must work at least (1) Bingo a month.
- Must adhere to a cleaning schedule
- Live Ins are expected to run calls when they are on station
- Must stay at the firehouse at least 4 nights a week
- Must participate in station fundraisers and activities if available
Live-In Benefits: - Free living quarters (seperate male & female bunkrooms)

Training:
- On Station Training is held every Monday evening
- Training includes Engine Company, Truck Company and Rescue Company Operations
